Plant Tissue Culture

Callus culture technology

Global Skin Hub (GSH) is working to discover new functional materials derived from natural products that can fundamentally prevent skin aging based on in-depth research on the correlation between the health of the body and the skin.

Callus culture technology is an advanced biotechnology that stably secures high concentrations of effective ingredients by artificially cultivating undifferentiated cell masses derived from plant tissues (leaves, stems, roots, etc.).

First, plants rich in effective ingredients are carefully selected, and the tissues of the plants are cultured in a sterile environment to induce callus. Afterwards, the callus is mass-produced through a liquid culture method with optimal culture conditions, and through this, highly concentrated physiologically active substances that are difficult to obtain in nature can be  produced with uniform quality.
The proliferated callus efficiently extracts effective ingredients, and then goes through a standardization process to  scientifically verify various skin improvement effects such as skin whitening, antioxidation, and collagen synthesis . The raw materials that have been strictly verified through this process are used as core materials for cosmeceuticals and bio-cosmetics, and are supplied as raw materials for various functional products for skin health.

Callus culture technology is an environmentally friendly raw material production method that has the advantage of being able to stably supply high-quality raw materials in a sustainable manner without being affected by seasonal and climate changes. Global Skin Hub is utilizing this callus culture technology to lead the development of functional cosmetic raw materials and provide innovative solutions for improving skin health
